Yemen: One journalist killed and three injured in shelling

One Yemeni journalist was killed on Friday and three injured in a missile attack while covering clashes in Bayda province in Yemen, according to news reports.

Abdullah al-Qadry, a photographer and camera operator for the privately owned station Belqees TV  died while on assignment for Yemen’s Belqees television, the station said. A security source said Shiite Huthi rebels were behind the shelling.

Three other journalists were also wounded in the shelling of Qaniyah, near the border between Marib and Baida provinces in the centre of the country.

Qadry died from a shrapnel wound to the neck, according to a doctor at the hospital to which he was evacuated.
